Hi! My name is Arkadiusz Imiela. I am currently on my 2nd year of my MSc studying c biology at the University of Silesia. My promoter is Dr. Łukasz Depa. I received my BSc in 2015, bachelor thesis title: ‘Orthopterofauna of the Eastern Beskidy Mountains as an example of habitat specificity of the orthopterans.’ Currently I’m working on my master thesis which covers the orthopterans fauna in mountain pastures of Beskid Żywiecki Mountains (promoter: prof. dr hab. Jacek Gorczyca). My science interests are about the orthopterans (Insceta: Orthoptera); their taxonomy, ecology and zoogeography, especially in mountains. Also, I participate in two ‘Faunatics’ projects: Using molecular markers in taxonomy problem solving in selected insects groups and By yourself. Otherwise I’m a traveler, pretty nice cook and future mountain guide.
